Technique: quick and easy fusible applique enhanced with free motion detailing

The simplicity of the design lends itself to be easily manipulated to create an altogether different scene, allowing you endless design possibilities. Alternatively, the design could be used as the center of a larger medallion quilt by adding additional borders.
The applique is fused and secured using a machine blanket stitch. All of the stitching detail is achieved using a machine embroidery stitch. Alternatively you could achieve a similar result using a free motion stitch tracing over the line several times until you achieve the desired result.
